Nijodake 二丈岳 Hike - The start of spring 2019 2019.3.17
I recently went up Nijodake to mark the start of spring. There was no new route to this hike, the only difference being that I started from the car park near the Yuranaiko bridge (Which has free parking) instead of the station. Below are a collection of the wonderful spring sights I was treated to. I highly recommend Nijodake for a spring hike. Itoshima has to be one of the best and most varied areas to hike in Fukuoka. Luckily the Itoshima local government produce a range of free hiking maps for each mountain region. More information can be found on their local government website including downloadable maps here
